Warp: - The yarn that runs length wise in the woven fabric. An individual thread of warp is termed as an end. It can also be the yarn that runs lengthwise in the warp-knit fabric.
PTA: - Abbreviation of Pur Terephthalic Acid (raw materials for producing polyester fibers). Also TPA (code of TerePhthalic Acid).
Antistatic finish: Treatment of textiles with special chemicals for increasing surface conductivity in order to prevent the build-up of electrostatic charges.

Draw Warping: - Process in which yarns are drawn and warped is one operation, thereby eliminating draw-twisting machine processing.
Cord: The product formed by twisting together two or more piled yarns.
